Club Notes Week 7 2018   19/02/2018

East Kerry Super League Round 2
Dr Crokes v Gneeveguilla
Even though we had a comprehensive win over Gneeveguilla at the end things could have been much closer if our opponents had taken their goal chances in the first half. On the other side of the field we bulged the back of the net on a few occasions.
There was plenty up and down play in the first half but we got through for the major scores to put us well ahead when the referee blew for half time.
Both sides matched one another for scores in the second half scoring 1-8 each but our first half total and Gneeveguilla inability to score goals from good chances in that first thirty minutes left us good winners at the end.
Both teams were without a number of their regulars but it was a great work out for both sides for the fourth coming County League. Our top scorers were Tony Brosnan with 2-3 and Paul Clarke with 2-2.
Team: Johnny O'Leary, Brian Fitzgerald, Mike Moloney, Lorcan Mc Monagle, Kieran Ward, Jason Lyne, Jack Griffin, Billy Courtney, Alan O' Sullivan, Kieran O'Leary, Colm Cooper, Paul Clarke, Tony Brosnan, Mark O'Shea, Mike Casey.
Subs: Bryan O'Shea, Neal O'Doherty, James Kelly, Brendan Coppinger.
