Club Notes Week 42 2021   18/10/2021

SENIOR CO. CHAMPIONSHIP we have been drawn to play West Kerry in the opening round of 2021 championship game fixed for Sun. Oct. 31 @ 3pm in Austin Stack Park. 


COISTE NA OG. Next Saturday, October 24th is our last day of the academy until next March. It will take place at the usual times. However we are asking members to turn up in Fancy Dress as we will have a fun day. The scarier the better. 


Last Saturday due to an U7 hurling go games blitz being held in Lewis Road the rest of the acacdemy relocated to the Fitzgerald Statium for the morning. It was a great treat to play on the main pitch and there was lots of excitement for our members trying to emulate our senior stars. A lucky few got to go on a tour of the stadium as well. It made for a great morning. Thanks to the Fitzgerald Stadium for facilitating us. 


 


Under 7 Hurling: Our young hurlers hosted a go games blitz for six clubs on Saturday morning. There was lots of excitement as the young players put their skills on show. Well done all and it was great for all teams to put their training during the season to the test 


 


Scor As Rachel Foley, Cultural Officer, continues preparing for Scor, which hopefully will go ahead this year, she is encouraging boys and girls of all ages who are interested in set dancing and figure dancing to join/re-join one of the 3 dancing schools that assist us in this competition. There are 3 levels of competition for various age groups throughout the year. So get practicing with.. Daly King.... Hegarty.... and Hannah Majella with Daly King School of Irish Dancing. DR. CROKES BINGO will continue on Sunday Oct. 24th in St. Marys Parish Hall @ 8.30pm. In accordance with government guidelines pods of no more than six with appropriate social distancing will be in place. Vaccine certs and proof of identification will be in place. Patrons are requested to wear masks until seated. Doors will open at 7.15pm and admittance  is on first come first served basis.. 


 


 


LOTTO draw took place on Monday October  18th  Numbers drawn11 15 23 25    6 patrons matched 3 numbers receive €70.  Jackpot for draw on October  25th will be €5,600 


We are calling on all members to support our weekly lotto as this represents one of the main sources of revenue for the club. With activity likely to recommence on the fields over the next few weeks we need people’s support to maintain our facilities in Lewis Road.
