EK SENIOR LEAGUE: Rd. 4 of the East Kerry Senior League against Rathmore went the distance on Sunday afternoon last. Rathmore were the first to settle, scoring a goal in the second minute. We immediately worked the ball back down to Keith O’Leary who opened scoring with a well taken point. We then kept the pressure on the Rathmore side to push the score to 0-08 to 1-01, Bryan O’Shea and Tony Brosnan on target. The second half started with frees and points for both sides. A number of frees within scoring distance brought Rathmore within two points. In the dying minutes, David Moloney made crucial saves to retain our lead. A scuffle in the square approaching injury time led to some confusion. Our guys lined the goal to save the resolving free and the kick from the resulting rebound sailed over the bar.
