East Kerry O’Donoghue Cup Dr. Crokes 2-21 Fossa 0-06. Our senior team had a comprehensive victory at home over Fossa in the quarter final of the East Kerry Championship on Saturday last. A flurry of first half point from Tony Brosnan, David Shaw, Mikey Casey and Daithi Casey gave us a 0-09 to 0-05 lead in the first half. Although we were on top in the first half the boys came out even stronger in the second half, outscoring the visitors 2-12 to 0-01. Second half goals coming from Tony Brosnan and Gavin O’Shea who scored 1-09 and 1-02 respectively. Fossa’s only second half point came in the 54^th minute of play. We now await outstanding fixtures to see who we face in the semi-final on the weekend 3^rd/4^th of December.  

South Kerry Hurling Championship Final Dr. Crokes 1-20 Kenmare Shamrocks 2-13. It was a tight affair in Fitzgerald stadium on Sunday as we defeated Kenmare by 4 points to be crowned South Kerry champions. We led 1-10 to 1-06 at the interval but faced a tough battle in the second half against a strong wind. Kevin Landers scored our only goal of the game with a fantastic close-range effort in the opening 30 minutes. We extended our lead early in the second half but a second Kenmare goal meant they remained in touching distance for the entire game. Huge scores from distance by Vinny O’Connor and Declan Hickey with Mark Heffernan accurate as ever from the dead ball meant that we ended the year with some richly deserved silverware.  

LOTTO TOOK PLACE ON November 21^st Numbers drawn were 03, 07, 09, 10 Jackpot not won. 28 patrons matched 3 numbers and receive €25 each. Jackpot for draw on November 28^th will be €13,100. We are calling on all members to support our weekly lotto as this represents one of the main sources of revenue for the club. With activity likely to recommence on the fields over the next few weeks we need people’s support to maintain our facilities in Lewis Road.
