East Kerry Football Championship Final Dr. Crokes 1-18 Spa 1-07. We had a comprehensive win over Spa on Sunday to claim our 32^nd O’Donoghue Cup. We got off to a lively start with Mikey Casey hitting the back of the net in the 2^ndminute of play after a well worked ball from Tony Brosnan. We were unlucky not to get a second goal 2 minutes later after a poor Spa kick out was incepted by Kieran O’Leary. Points from Daithi Casey, Tony Brosnan, Mikey Casey and Michael Potts gave us a very comfortable 1-10 to 0-03 lead at half time. We started the second half just as we finished the first with two Tony Brosnan points. We were reduced to 14 men 5 minutes into the half when David Shaw was shown a black card. While this was a blow, the players responded well and shared the extra responsibility. Second half points from Kieran O’Leary, Brian Looney, Tony Brosnan, Cillian O’Regan and Chris Doncel gave us a well-deserved 11 point win. Mark O’Shea followed in his father’s footsteps to collect the Dr. O’Donoghue cup which was presented by Fr. Paddy O’Donoghue. Kieran O’Leary picked up the Man of the Match award and his 12^th O’Donoghue Cup medal. This was a fantastic team performance and a well-deserved victory to finish off the year with some silverware. 

Christmas Cards If anyone has a family member or friend abroad who won’t be home for Christmas, the club will be sending them a seasonal message and special greeting card, designed by the juveniles from the academy. LOTTO TOOK PLACE ON December 19^th Numbers drawn were 1, 14, 17, 23 Jackpot not won. 4 patrons matched 3 numbers and receive €100 each. Jackpot for draw on December 27^th will be €14,300. We are calling on all members to support our weekly lotto as this represents one of the main sources of revenue for the club. With activity likely to recommence on the fields over the next few weeks we need people’s support to maintain our facilities in Lewis Road.
