LGFA U14 Our girls travelled to Ballyduff on Sunday afternoon for their first County League match. We were missing several players but came out on top of a thrilling match 3:14 to 4:08. We put in a great display of attacking football. Our forwards moved the ball well between each other and 3:14 was a great score to clock up. Midfield put in a great display and our backs defended like their lives depended on it. Credit to Tia Bruton who stepped into goal and did not let the team down, her kick outs were fantastic.

Club Notes Week 24 2023

SHC Dr. Crokes 0:16 Abbeydorney 4:17. Played in deadly conditions in Austin Stack Park on Saturday evening, our senior hurlers suffered a 13-point defeat in round 1 of the County Championship. Our hurlers stayed true to form and played superbly from the get go. We were unfortunate to let in 2 first half and 2 second half goals which proved to be the difference in the end. We go again next Friday night, in a must win game against Crotta O’Neills in Austin Stack Park at 7:30pm.

LGFA U14 Our U14 girls welcomed Firies to Lewis Road on Thursday evening for a challenge match. After a very even first half we entered the break trailing by a point. The girls really turned it on in the second half, playing their best football of the year and winning comfortably in the end on a score line of 7:15 to 5:08. All 21 girls contributed to a fine team performance. Best of luck to the girls who will start their County League campaign on the weekend of 25th June.

Club Notes Week 21 2023

LGFA Donal Curtin Cup Dr. Crokes 1-10 Scartaglin 2-11. Our senior ladies suffered their first defeat of the year last week in a great game of football in a sunny Scartaglin. Our girls started the brighter in the first half and took an early lead, despite playing against a strong breeze. Scartaglin had brought it back to level terms by half time, and the second half unfortunately saw us having to withdraw a couple of players with injuries and we wish our girls speedy recoveries. Scart ran their bench and ran out worthy winners in the end.
