Club Notes Week 15 2026

SFL Div. 1
Dr. Crokes 1:16 Spa 3:13. We came up just short in an entertaining and hard-fought County League encounter against Spa on Sunday last. We started bright with Chris Doncel finding the net inside the opening six minutes. Spa however responded quickly, tapping over a series of points to level matters and edge in front as the half progressed. We continued to create chances with Dara O’Shea landing an impressive two-pointer and Billy adding another from distance to keep the scoreboard ticking. At the other end, Bryan O’Shea produced an excellent save to deny Spa a certain goal midway through the half. Spa however did raise a green flag soon after. We led 1:10 to 1:07 going in at the break. The second half followed a similar pattern, with Spa continuing to apply pressure and adding to their tally. We fought hard with scores from Billy, Micheál, and Cian helping to keep the gap within reach. Neil added a late point for Crokes, but Spa’s ability to convert late goal chances ultimately proved decisive. We now face Kenmare away on Saturday at 7pm.

U14 East Kerry League
We hosted Austin Stacks last Tuesday night in Dr. Crokes Park and were well beaten. Having played very well in the two previous games, we played into a very strong breeze in the first half where Stacks dominated midfield. Despite the best efforts of Sean Quill who finished with a personal tally of 2 10 out of 3 14, we could never get to the pitch of the game. Despite very good performances from Andrew Bilokhvosk, William Sjogren, Derry Sheahan, Mark Clifford and Wojtek Zglinski we were beaten in too many positions on the night and didn’t perform at our best. Our B team were also well beaten by Stacks B. despite having plenty of chances we didn’t bring our shooting boots on the night and came out second best despite very good performances from Finn McDonald, Tiernan Kavanagh, Rob Young, Daniel Moloney and Mark O Leary.

Club Notes Week 14 2026

SFL Div. 1
Dr. Crokes 1:10 Austin Stacks 2:22. We were defeated by Austin Stacks in a competitive County Senior Football League clash in Tralee on Sunday last. A slow start and a number of early wides allowed the home side to take control, with Stacks’ 20th minute goal proving a key score. We responded well through points from Alex Hennigan and Cian McMahon to stay in touch at the break, trailing 0:04 to 1:09. Stacks came out strongin the second half, scoring a point and two 2-pointers within the first 3 minutes of play. We resopinded well, kicking 3 points without reply but a stacks goal in the 10th minute proved crucial and halting our momentum. Stacks capitalised to push ahead again and maintained their advantage in the closing stages. Despite a determined effort, we were left to question missed opportunities as the Tralee side held on for the win. We now face Spa on April 26th at 2pm in Dr. Crokes Park

U14 East Kerry League
We played Kilcummin last Tuesday night and after a hard fought battle we unluckily went down by 5 points in the end. We opened brightly with Sean Quill bagging a hat trick of goals in the first half to help us lead by 3- 7 to 2- 6 at half time. At the back Rob Young, Adam Arthur, Andrew Blokhvost and Thomas Mulvihill defended valiantly with Evan & Senan Prendergast winning lots of possession in midfield. We led going into the final 10 minutes but couldn’t hold out as Kilcummin dominated the latter stages to defeat us by 5 points in the end having got 3 goals to our 1 which was excellently taken by Wojtek Zglinski.
Our B team had 2 great games against Listowel and Kilcummin also over the past fortnight and having led in both games going into the last 5 minutes lost both games by a point in both. This a young team with a lot of the boys underage again next year with quite a few under 12s also playing. Both teams have shown great improvement since the start of the competition and hopefully we can get positive results.

Club Notes Week 13 2026

SFL Div. 1

Dr. Crokes 0:11 Rathmore 1:19. We made the short trip to Rathmore on Saturday last but came away empty-handed after a 1:19 to 0:11 defeat against a sharp and clinical home side. Fielding without a number of key players due to intercounty commitments and injury, we were always facing an uphill battle. That challenge was made even more difficult early on when Billy Courtney was forced off with an injury after just 15 minutes. Rathmore’s goal proved decisive, as they pulled clear despite our battling efforts.

U14 County League

We started our season with a trip to Gaeltacht on Sunday evening. Despite missing a few regulars, our boys performed valiantlyand never gave up. Gaeltacht were very strong physically and we had a very difficult first 15 minutes. Gradually we found our way into the game with Ewan Marshall. Senan Prendergast, Rob Young, Andrew Bilokhvosk and Thomas Mulvihill to the fore. We had a very good second half scoring 3 goals and 6 points in total with Lucas Uchyll getting 2 goals and John Byrne getting the other. Others to impress were Nathan Cronin, Maro Kovacevic, Oisin Carey Brickley, James O’Mahony and Jadon Reif. Our B team had a much closer game scoring 5:08. John Byrne, Marke Clifford and Luke McMahon among the goalscorers. The lads played really well which included great performances from our 6 under 12s Alex Doolan, Fedi Kosminskyi, Finn McDonald, Tiarnan Kavanagh, John Byrne and Finan O’Connell while Oran Barrett, William Sjogren, Mark O’Leary also gave great performances on the night. A big thank you to the players and the parents who travelled. Our next game is Tuesday 7th against Listowel at home.

Club Notes Week 11 2026

SFL Div.1

Dr. Crokes 1:14 Dingle 1:07. We began our Senior Football League campaign with a comprehensive win away to Dingle on Sunday. Early scores from Billy Courtney and Liam Kelliher settled matters before Dingle responded with two 2-pointers to keep the sides close. The key moment of the first half came in the 21st minute when Liam Randles finished to the net, helping to give us a 1-05 to 0-05 lead at half time. Paying with the wind in the second half, we extended our advantage with points from David Shaw, Alex Hennigan, Michael Burns and Gavin O’Shea. Dingle struck for a late goal to narrow the gap in the closing minutes but a crucial save from goalkeeper Bryan O’Shea ensured that we remained in control. We now face Rathmore away on March 29th.
