Club Notes Week 15 2026

SFL Div. 1
Dr. Crokes 1:16 Spa 3:13. We came up just short in an entertaining and hard-fought County League encounter against Spa on Sunday last. We started bright with Chris Doncel finding the net inside the opening six minutes. Spa however responded quickly, tapping over a series of points to level matters and edge in front as the half progressed. We continued to create chances with Dara O’Shea landing an impressive two-pointer and Billy adding another from distance to keep the scoreboard ticking. At the other end, Bryan O’Shea produced an excellent save to deny Spa a certain goal midway through the half. Spa however did raise a green flag soon after. We led 1:10 to 1:07 going in at the break. The second half followed a similar pattern, with Spa continuing to apply pressure and adding to their tally. We fought hard with scores from Billy, Micheál, and Cian helping to keep the gap within reach. Neil added a late point for Crokes, but Spa’s ability to convert late goal chances ultimately proved decisive. We now face Kenmare away on Saturday at 7pm.

U14 East Kerry League
We hosted Austin Stacks last Tuesday night in Dr. Crokes Park and were well beaten. Having played very well in the two previous games, we played into a very strong breeze in the first half where Stacks dominated midfield. Despite the best efforts of Sean Quill who finished with a personal tally of 2 10 out of 3 14, we could never get to the pitch of the game. Despite very good performances from Andrew Bilokhvosk, William Sjogren, Derry Sheahan, Mark Clifford and Wojtek Zglinski we were beaten in too many positions on the night and didn’t perform at our best. Our B team were also well beaten by Stacks B. despite having plenty of chances we didn’t bring our shooting boots on the night and came out second best despite very good performances from Finn McDonald, Tiernan Kavanagh, Rob Young, Daniel Moloney and Mark O Leary.
