SFL Div. 1 Dr. Crokes 2:16 Glenflesk 2:06. Our senior footballers remain unbeaten after a comprehensive win over Glenflesk in round 5 of the Senior Football League. Cian McMahon opened the scoring with a fine point from play from the throw in. 1 minute later, Michael Potts was unlucky not to hit the back of the net after two brilliant attempts at goal, Micheal Burns subsequently tipped the rebounding ball over the bar. 4 minutes in to the game Glenflesk were awarded a penalty, that Bryan O’Shea was unlucky not to save. We were awarded our own penalty 14 minutes later when Cian McMahon was brought down in the small square. Daithi Casey did well to convert from the penalty spot. We went in leading 1:11 to 1:02 at the break. We got the second half underway in the best way possible, with a Micheal Burns goal in the first minute. Again, just like the first half, Glenflesk got a second goal of their own in the 18th minute. Bryan O’Shea put on a great performance between post to pull off two more fantastic saves in the dying minutes of the game. We now sit at the top of the table going in to round 6. Next up is Ballymacelligott away on May 5th.
