Club Notes Week 47 2019   25/11/2019

Weekly Notes 25th of November

County League - Dr Crokes 1-12 Dingle 1-18 Played in Lewis Road
The first half of this game saw us play second fiddle to a Dingle team who were more up for the game and outscored us by 1-14 to 0-4 at the end of the first 30 minutes. It's true that we were missing a number of our first team players but we didn't attack the game at any time during the first two quarters.
We made a few changes at half time which was a help but our much better second-half display could also be attributed to our overall attitude as we contested every ball more vigourously and maybe Dingle went into a lower gear having put up a match winning score by half time.
I still could see positions in our display and even though we will have to have a lot of improvement for next weekend's O'Donoghue Cup I think this can be achieved.
Team and Scorers: Shane Murphy, John Payne, Mike Moloney, David Naughton, Cillian O'Regan, Mark Fitzgerald, Chris Doncel, Alan O'Sullivan, Daithi Casey 0-8 (0-7 frees), Jack Griffin, Micheal Burns 0-1, Brian Looney (Capt) 0-2, Bryan O'Shea, Billy Courtney, Mike Casey 0-1
