Club Notes, 30th May 2022.

Co. League Div. 1 Dr. Crokes 1-11 Austin Stacks 2-10 played on Friday last a hungrier Stacks side overcame the locals on a beautiful evening for football. Both sides missing many regulars were level at the short whistle 106 to 1-06  but Dr. Crokes management will not be happy with first half performance kicking 7 wides.  

The second half was nip and tuck until a fortuitous goal from Stacks changed the complexion of the game and they ran out 2 points winners  

ACADEMY The academy returns next Saturday as normal. Boys and Girls aged 4 until 11 from the Killarney area. Hurling 10 until 11 and Football 11 until 12. All welcome new members and returning members. 

Go Games: Our Go Games for Under 9s continued during the week with a trip to Milltown on Tuesday a great turn out at short notice. We had three rounds of games and we had a great time. Thanks Milltown. 

U12 Girls: We had two games last week in the county league. On Monday we played Beaufort away. In a tense game against a good home side we came away with a three point win. On Wednesday we faced a very strong Brosna Knocknagoshel team in another ding dong battle before going down to a better team in the end. The girls played very well in both games and can be proud of their efforts. 

LOTTO TOOK PLACE ON May 30th  numbers drawn were  6 8 11 17 Jackpot  

  not won. 11 patrons matched 3 numbers receive €40. Jackpot for draw on June 6th  will be €5 600 

We are calling on all members to support our weekly lotto as this represents one of the main sources of revenue for the club. With activity likely to recommence on the fields over the next few weeks we need people’s support to maintain our facilities in Lewis Road. US Open Challenge June 16 -19.  Cards will be usual sellers this week or play on www.drcrokes.com. All entries befor 8pm on June 15th. 

CONGRATULATIONS to Gavin White, Tony Brosnan Miceal Burns and Shane Murphy on winning Munster Championship Medals on Saturdays victory over Limerick, Commiserations to Kayleigh Cronin who was on Kerry ladies side beaten by Cork.
