Club Notes Week 25 2022   27/06/2022

County League Div.1 Dr.Crokes 0-13 Gneeveguilla 0-8. On Tuesday evening last we welcomed Gneeveguilla to Lewis Road for round 10 of the County League. We got off to a good start scoring 3 points without reply. It wasn’t until the 19thminute that the visitors opened their scoring with a point from play. A Mikey Casey point from play and a Daithi Casey free gave us a well-deserved 3 point lead at the break. Dr.Crokes 0-5 Gneeveguilla 0-2. Both teams swapped scores at the beginning of the second half. The game really turned in the 12th minute of the second half when Gneeveguilla were reduced to 14 men after a second yellow was shown to one of their players. We played well and utilised our extra player. Further points from Daithi Casey, Paul Clarke and Billy Courtney helped secure a 5 point win. Our final game of the County League will be away to Kenmare Shamrocks on the weekend of the 9th/10th of July.

County League Div.3 Dr.Crokes 1:08 St.Senan’s 1:08. Our second team travelled to Finuge on Saturday night. In tough weather conditions we came up against a very strong St.Senans team. After an intensely competitive game honours were even at the final whistle and both sides came away with a point each.

U12 Girls Our U12 girls travelled to Glenflesk on Wednesday last. Displayed a very solid performance we were unlucky not to come out on top of a very close game against a very strong home team. The game ended 0-09 to 3-03. We now play Beaufort at home in our final game of the season.
