Club Notes, 1st of August 2022.

Senior Ladies Dr. Crokes 0-09 Spa 1-05 Our Senior Ladies battled hard to grind out a one point win over a resilient Spa team in the Donal Curtin Div. 2 final. Well done to the team and management.  


Minor Football Championship Dr. Crokes 0-09 Kenmare/Kilgarvan 1-14 Our minor team were defeated in round 2 of the county championship following a keenly contested game in Kenmare on Tuesday evening. Scorers on the night Alex Hennigan 0-6 (2f) Shay O’Meara 0-2 (f) Neil O’Carroll 0-01.  


U11 Hurling Our U11s played against Laochra Og from Macroom in the Fitzgerald Stadium on Saturday. The blitz was organised as part of St. Patricks hurling club 40th anniversary celebrations. Thanks to St. Pats for the invite and Laochra Og for the game.   


Annual Golf Classic We had a great turnout for our annual Golf Classic played in the O Mahony Point on Thursday and Friday with over 60 teams playing. A sincere thanks to Enda Murphy and his staff for having the course in such magnificent condition and also Meg and the rest of the team in Killarney Golf Club. To Paul Cotter  in the chapel for providing a brilliant barbecue after 9 holes capped off with Ann Bartlett’s home-made apple tarts. Thanks to Ann and her sister in laws they were beautiful. To Matthew Courtney who put out all the tee box signs Wednesday night a sincere thanks. To all those who helped in the table and to our younger generation who provided a welcome to the golfers after 9 holes and sold the raffle tickets. Most importantly  thanks to all those businesses who continue to support us putting in teams and tee boxes, to those who bought raffle tickets  and special thanks to our Main Sponsors of the event Charlie Foleys. Summer Camp Our very popular Summer Can will be taking place from the 22nd to the 24th of August from 9am – 1pm for boys and girls aged 4 to 11. Info from the academy coaches.
