Senior Club Championship Dr. Crokes 1-06 Templenoe 0-10. We were very unlucky to fall short by the minimum in a highly competitive game back in sunny Templenoe on Saturday evening. Micheal Burns got the scoring underway in the first minute of play with a point from play. Templenoe then used the breeze to their advantage scoring the next 5 points without reply. Two Tony Brosnan points helped narrow the gap to just 2 points at the first water break. As play resumed, we continued to claw back with two consecutive points from championship debutant Cian McMahon to even scores. Both teams struggled to keep the scoreboard ticking over until Templenoe’s Killian Spillane popped the ball over the Crokes crossbar 5 minutes before the half, giving the home side a 0-06 to 0-05 lead at half time. We started the second half lively with Daithi Casey setting Cian McMahon up to stick the ball in the back of the Templenoe net after just 6 minutes of play. Templenoe responded with a point from play to level matters once again. Both sides were unlucky not to raise the green and white flags before the second water break. Going in to the last quarter trailing by 1 point, Michael Potts stepped up to level matters with 8 minutes of normal time left to play. Templenoe full forward, Aidan Crowley held his nerve to kick a long range free 4 minutes before the final whistle. We now face Austin Stacks at home next Sunday 21^st at 2:30 in a must win game. 

Summer Camp Our very popular Summer Camp will be taking place from the 22^nd to the 24^th of August from 9am – 1pm for boys and girls aged 4 to 11. Info from the academy coaches. LOTTO TOOK PLACE ON August 15^th Numbers drawn were 8, 9, 14, 24 Jackpot not won. 4 patrons matched 3 numbers and receive €100 each. Jackpot for draw on August 22^nd will be €8 600. We are calling on all members to support our weekly lotto as this represents one of the main sources of revenue for the club. With activity likely to recommence on the fields over the next few weeks we need people’s support to maintain our facilities in Lewis Road.
