Club Notes Week 30 2024

Senior Club Championship Dr. Crokes 0:17 Miltown Castlemaine 0:06. We welcomed Miltown Castlemaine to Lewis Road last Saturday evening where we put on a great display of second half football to keep them scoreless until the 1st minute of injury time. It was our opponents who started the game livelier, scoring the opening two points of the game. It wasn't until the 10th minute of the game that we got our first score through a Tom Doyle point from play. We pushed on from there and swapped scores for much of the half. We went in leading at half time on a scoreline of 6 points to 5 points. We dominated the second half and saw some fine scoring from Tony Brosnan, Fionn Fitzgerald, Alex Hennigan, Mark O'Shea and David Shaw. Credit must be given to the backlines who kept our opponents scoreless for the majority of the half. Next up we face Na Gaeil away next Saturday at 4pm in the last group game.
Academy Our Academy continues Saturday morning, August 10th, for boys and girls between 4 and 11 from the Killarney area. Hurling from 10-11 and Football from 11:15-12:15. Fun and friendship guaranteed. Bring a friend.

BINGO Dr Crokes Bingo continues every Sunday in St. Mary's Parish Hall. Doors will open at 7pm with the first game commencing at 8pm.
Save the Date Our Club BBQ and Street League Final will take place on Friday 30th August.
Street League will begin on August 9th for four weeks. It promises to be a fantastic occasion.
Congratulations to player of the match, Kayleigh Cronin, Laura O'Shea and the Kerry senior ladies team on winning the All Ireland Final on Sunday.
Anniversary Mass for Malachy Walsh Saturday August 10th at 6:15pm in St. Mary's Cathedral.
Condolences to the O'Shea Family, High Street on the death of Marion O'Riordan Millstreet. Marion is also grandmother of junior player Jack.
